Aspen Highlands in Aspen, Colorado
Painted in 1994
Too often people speak of Aspen as a monolith, sweeping all of its mountains under one common rug. But in fact, Aspen Highlands stands unique, with its Highlands Bowl playing host to some of the most fun and interesting inbounds skiing in the US. With over 3,600 vertical feet of skiing and 1,000 acres of skiable terrain, Aspen Highlands has plenty of runs to go explore. And, while there is plenty of beginner terrain at Aspen Highlands, the vast majority, 77%, is rated expert to advanced which means there are plenty of steep runs available to everyone. With an average of 300” of snow a year, there’s a decent chance of hitting Aspen Highlands on a powder day, too.

Throughout his 30 year career he has worked at the smallest hills and the most expansive resorts in North America. He has left his mark in South America, Australia, Asia and Europe too. And even if you have never shared a bottomless powder day with him, he has always been close by.
